Well, we've all heard the classic boast in fly fishing brochures that a certain trip offers a chance to catch a fish of his or her lifetime.  This destination and lodge really delivers on that promise.  The Zhup carries the largest strain of stream rainbows in the world, period.  And while they don't make themselves easy to catch, they sure make it rewarding when you hook into one of there brutes.  A team of experienced guides from the states and Russia make sure anglers are put in the right run in front of the right fish.  For all intents and purposes, you're fishing everyday for steelhead sized fish except they are just plain ol' rainbows.  Double-digit sized fish on either dries or streamers is a tough lineup to beat.  And!, you'll have the opportunity to catch a 10lb plus bow on a mouse.  Oh, and let's not forget the Super Kundza. The Zhup is one of a handful of streams in the world that has a  sea run of the infamous Asian white spotted char.  Three feet of raw muscle running up the smae rivershed keeps every cast incredibly interesting.  Overall, Zenzur is not a high quantity game.  It's a high quality game.

Anglers fly direct from Anchorge, AK to Petropavlovsk, Russia on a comfortable 737 operated by a Russian tour company.  It's just a short four hour flight and you'll be knee deep in the Russian way of life- Big Choppers and Big Fish.  From Petropavlovsk you have just a 20-minute heli flight to the lodge.  Rooms are comfortable with double beds in each and your own private bathroom.
