The lovely Stella Maris Resort is located on the picturesque island of Long Island in the southern portion of the Bahamas.  Jill and Docky Smith have owned and operated the resort for __ years and only to the highest standards.  The resort boasts the most varied types of accommodations of any location we represent.  Guests and anglers have the choice of hotel, two bedroom cottages, three bedroom homes on the coast or a private house with infinity pool overlooking your own beach.  Meals are served in the resort's main restaurant, a short walk from the accommodations that dot the impressive estate.  Head guide, Docky's impressive line-up of Hew's flats boats are some of the most impressive at any resort in the Caribbean.  Anglers can expect to split time in the boat and wade fishing the white sand flats of north and south Long Island with Docky and Ellie Smith. Long Island's waters are also home to a nice population of permit and some resident tarpon.

Techinically an out island, Long Island provides both a remote location with all the comforts of an all inclusive resort. The ancient reef gives 80 miles length to this island of cliffs, caves and the deepest blue hole in the Bahamas. With the crystal clear water and thriving coral reefs, diving is a must for your off day of fishing.

Anglers fly into Nassau and then are transferred about an hour south to Stella Maris on one of their private planes piloted by Joel Friese. For groups of four or more, flights can be arranged out of either Fort Lauderdale or Miami to the resort. Stella Maris is a perfect destination for families and serious anglers.
