H2O Bonefishing
Grand Bahama
Grand Bahama’s premier outfitter, H2O Bonefishing is a year round professional fishing program specializing in fly fishing the flats for bonefish and permit and includes a unique offshore fly fishing program targeting several species of pelagic game fish. Jason Franklin and Greg Vincent own and operate H2O Bonefishing with a tireless work ethic and have secured a full time staff of experienced professional and dependable guides. The fishing program is as varied as both their fishing careers. We started working with Greg more than 15 years ago at Westbank Anglers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and while Greg no longer guides, our anglers whether novice or expert alike will benefit greatly from his more than 22 years in the international fly fishing industry.
H2O’s home water of vast unpressured flats has the added bonus of containing some of the largest bonefish found in all the Bahamas. Anglers will be immediately impressed with the larger than average sized bones and are often pleasantly surprised at the opportunity to throw a fly at trophy bonefish. In the spring and summer months every angler is advised to have at the ready a second set up for permit. In line with H2O’s constant pursuit of providing their anglers a quality fly fishing experience, they have now introduced their new ‘ No Boundaries ‘ summer fly fishing program giving anglers access to more distant waters. In addition to these programs, a very dependable offshore fly fishing program is available during the late spring and summer months where they chase impressive runs of dorado and yellowfin tuna. H2O Bonefishing is not exclusive to just the dedicated hardcore fly fisher as it provides a perfect setting for family’s and couples. For those anglers that travel with family they can rest assured that the area provides plenty of amenities and activities for the non-angling companion. This is by far the most dynamic and diverse operation under one roof in all the Bahamas.
Anglers can fly direct to Freeport from many cities on the east coast including: Atlanta, New York City, Charlotte, Philadelphia and most larger cities in Florida. Such close proximity to the sates allows for easy travel to and from Grand Bahama Island.
